My mom retired on June 30th! It was her last day of work ever (until the following day when she went to clean the rest of her personal belongings out of her office! Her colleagues are lining up to recruit her to do volunteer work now. I am hoping she can contain her impulse to agree at least for a little while! At her retirement party at work she received a major honor. Prevention Links is a nonprofit organization that does prevention and education in the area of substance abuse. In her honor, Prevention Links has named their resource center (drum roll please) the "Georgene Berg Resource Center". Pretty cool, huh? She actually has a door with her name on it!Three generations!
