Finally, A Weekend at Home - Sort of!

Matt and I have been looking forward to this weekend because we knew that we would be spending the weekend at home. We just got back from Seattle and we weren't going to PA this weekend. So, our relaxing weekend at home....NOT! Friday night Matt went out with friends to celebrate his fraternity brother's birthday - not making me jealous though since he had to brave the monsoon weather! On Saturday we woke up to the most beautiful day! The weather was gorgeous!!! We made the most of our afternoon by going to the Greek Festival in New Brunswick with our neighbors/friends Jessie and Chuck and some of their friends. After a day filled with skinned knees (Eva) and gyros (Matt and I) - we were off to drop Eva at my best friend's house so she could wait for Grandma Cahill to get off work. Susan and Tom were gracious enough to let Eva hang there for a few hours before Matt's mother was finished working so that we could drive down to Philly for a party at my sister-in-law's house. After a fun night and too much sangria, we awoke Sunday morning to realize that the birthday party I kept thinking was sometime in the afternoon was in fact at 11:00 a.m.!!! Yikes - so off we hustled to get there. Too bad that is about the exact time that Eva naps. She did pretty well though and seemed to have a good time hanging out with the other kids at Julia's birthday party. Here is a photo of Eva enjoying some watermelon at the party!

Nope, it was in pigtails, you just can't see them because they are at the back of her head!
